Chair's Message - Winter 2012
I am looking forward to working with all of you as Chair of the CAOHC Executive Committee. It has been my pleasure to serve on the council the past 6 years as a representative of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. The mission of CAOHC is critical to achieving our current national goals to prevent noise-induced hearing loss and we are well positioned with solutions. I have always appreciated the interdisciplinary team approach to hearing conservation, from my early years as a school nurse overseeing hearing screenings to my current role as a researcher in occupational hearing loss prevention. For this reason, I value all contributors to our CAOHC mission and plan to celebrate and build on our interdisciplinary strengths. It is my honor to serve as Chair among the dedicated professionals representing 9 organizations committed to preventing occupational hearing loss. See you in the next CAOHC Update newsletter!
Best regards,
Madeleine J. Kerr, PhD, RN
